More than 20 House Democrats joined Republicans in voting to censure Palestinian-American congresswoman Rashida Tlaib on Tuesday for her comments supporting Palestinians against Israel’s murderous assault on Gaza.
Democrats were happy to have a Palestinian woman in congress until they found out she was the “Palestinians are human beings” kind of Palestinian and not the “Look how diverse and inclusive Democrats are” kind.
They’re like, “I was fine with the Palestinian woman until she started supporting the Palestinians. Did nobody tell her that her only job is to quietly pose for Instagram selfies with Nancy Pelosi?”

White House spokesman John Kirby has confirmed that the Biden administration is still drawing zero red lines with how Israel is permitted to use US-supplied weapons in Gaza. Asked by the press on Tuesday if it is still the case that “the administration is not drawing any red lines for Israel” despite the soaring death toll in Gaza, Kirby replied, “That is still the case.”
This is the same Biden administration who just days ago was telling the press that it is powerless to stop Israel from massacring civilians in Gaza, now telling us that they’ve made literally no effort to stop Israel from massacring civilians. It’s a blatant case of “We’ve tried nothing and we’re all out of ideas.”

Israel has once again released an audio clip of what it claims is an intercepted Hamas phone call in order to rebuff accusations of war crimes, this time allegedly featuring a Hamas fighter boasting about how many ambulances he’s able to use for transportation in response to criticisms of a deadly Israeli airstrike on an ambulance convoy.
The last time Israel released such an audio file in an attempt to exonerate itself, language experts cited by the UK’s Channel 4 News said the clip was not credible due to the “ language, accent, dialect, syntax and tone” in the clip, and audio analysts with an organization called Earshot “found that this recording was manipulated and cannot be used as a credible source of evidence.”
This is also the very same government which claims its intelligence agencies had no idea what Hamas was up to in the lead-up to the October 7 attacks, now claiming it is constantly intercepting Hamas communications and has a whole archive of them it can access whenever it needs to exonerate itself from accusations of war crimes. Bit odd, that.

My friend: I wonder how good is your memory, the US is bankrupt since July of 1972 when Nixon detached the US dollar from the gold backing reneging of the Bretton Woods Agreement of July 1944.. From then on, the dollar is not worth the paper that is printed on. None other than Master Trump, during his 2016 campaign said it very clearly ‘The US is bankrupt’, he as a wheeler dealer and regime insider knows that fact, as well as every politician on the land also knows that the regime killed JFK, not a patsy like L.H. Oswald.
Today Russia and China’s currencies are backed by GOLD, consequently they could tumble America and the whole house of cards before tomorrow morning. All of that without firing a single shot. You’ve got that? Is that simple, is up to them. America’s debt runs in untold TRILLIONS of dollars, that everybody knows will never be paid, US economic collapse is just around the corner. I recommend to all of you, the superb videos on this subject on YouTube by an annalist called Sean Foo, check it out and learn about the real world. He works with statistics not conspiracy theories.
scedmgl, there is a lot going on with the privately owned fed right now that we can’t see on the surface. It’s not a rosy picture and has a lot to do with the sale and purchase of their bonds that doesn’t look good for our economy or the world’s economy for that matter. It’s too complex for discussion here or most other places and beyond my ability to say much. However, I wonder if the rats will leave the ship when its engine begins to die? Very possible the engine has stopped already.
Dear Woopy: Granted, there are areas of political economy that require deep academic studies. However, certain basic principles of capitalist economy, are very simple just by applying logic and common sense. America, is the only country in the world who does not have a state run central bank. Woodrow Wilson rescinded that right in 1913 in favor of a consortium of private banks that lend money and thereby control the economic cycle CHARGING the government interest, for their labors. Situation BEYOND surreal, since the one that provide resources to the state ( the population with their taxes) end up paying for that incredible anomaly. So much so, that Wilson repented and accused Wall Street and financial circles of exploiting the American people for their benefit (please look it up under Wilson’s quotes). Non other than Henry Ford a symbol of American style Capitalism, had this to say about US financial affairs and the economy.

The answer to Caitlin’s hypothetical question is that it clearly cannot continue to exist without its vital life supports of murder and apartheid . Once that is clear(and it now is) it is apparent that the world has moral duty to oppose its continuing existence and cooperate in its non violent dismembership and the UN to agree with the Palestinians & Israel he dimension of the two state solution with neither State being allowed to possess more than a minimum of weapons necessary for self-defence. And of course no more Israeli nuclear arsenal

Seems like the world is in a state of decline in spite of technological advances. Is the human psychology capable of inhabiting Earth without total destruction of the biosphere? Are any govts., economies, societies, cultures, religions ( all human inventions) able to exist without built in suicidal self destructive behavior?
Nobody wants to say it but the sanctions and tariffs that the US imposed upon Russia and others can’t be helping the world economy. In addition to the ridiculous tariffs/sanctions the Fed is sailing in a very unsteady and leaky ship that is in very troubled waters. Rome didn’t fall in a day nor will the US government but it’s on the way to insolvency and the corruption is eating it to the bone.
